This is a Charles M.
Stieff antique baby grand piano and stool. A true antique,
between 1905-1910. Considered large for a baby grand (todays
standard) the piano measures 6' 1" tip to tip. Facing
the piano, along the outer upper left side casing, the veneer is
buckling, this damage extends along the back and slightly into the
right hand side of the piano. The way the piano sits in our
home the damage cannot be seen. This area is on the outer casing
and does not effect the sound of the piano. When we purchase the
piano in Orange County California 7 years ago, some piano key tops were
missing or loose. After moving it to its current location in
Wildomar, California, we had the piano tuned and the key tops
replaced and/ or re-attached. Over these 7 years some other key
tops have worked there way loose. 1 key top is missing.
When tuned, the piano sounds beautiful, its old hardwood soundboard is
no comparison to todays modern pianos. The piano finish is fading
in areas and really does need to restored at some point. But
still can be played with a tuning and with the keytops
reattached. Please contact local piano movers to understand the
cost of moving this baby grand before bidding. Again, the piano
is located in Wildomar, Ca. which is in South Riverside County,
Ca. Near Murrieta and Temecula. I am about 1 to 1 1/2
hours from any Orange County or San Diego County Location. 1- 2
hours from any Los Angeles County location. 40 minutes from
Riverside or San Bernandino county location. The Buyer has to
make arrangements to have the Piano picked up. Buyer to pay
shipping. Please contact with any questions or if in the area and
would like to see the piano.
BUYER TO ARRANGE TO HAVE PICKED UP.
